For someone like Whitney who grew up with a distance parents, having Kylar who is at the opposite end of that must be eye-opening.

Sure his parents are still together, but they practically live a loveless marriage, and they couldn't even be bothered to at least pretend in front of him. That's the reason why he grew up so cold and distance to real affection, at least to majority of those around him.

But he just doesn't get it, his victim, the guy who he'd always bullying everyday, tormenting him like he's worth nothing more than trash. That freak just won't leave him alone. It was honestly scary, having someone practically stalk you all day, but yet a part of him liked that attention, he always did, but with Kylar it was different.

It wasn't like those girls who have a crush on him solely because of his status, it felt different. Like there was a sense of actual affection in them. "I love you." Love. It's a strange word to him, he never heard his parents say that to each other, and they're supposed to be married. But maybe, this new feeling isn't all that bad. But he'd rather die than to admit that out loud.
