How interesting- children were here, all by themselves, with no parents to be seen. She knew that the scientists in charge of the city had no qualms with abducting people of any age, yet had expected that someone so young would have been assigned a guardian of some sort.
“Would you happen to know where the snacks are? I just got here, and I haven’t been able to spot it through all these people...” Whatever he was doing here, there were plenty of adults around, and he’d be fine. Probably.
