these types of events always left rose feeling uneasy. despite being an alpha, she wasn’t a psychic. she couldn’t predict when something like this would happen again. && the tension between packs wasn’t helping this problem. she needed to get away from it all. just for a second. which is how she ended up sitting alone in this coffee shop. laptop open with an article about lilah mcpherson’s death. 

“------------is there a problem?”

julietta hadn’t been close to ignacio, but he was like her. he followed his instincts, he let his anger control him. now everyone was after him. would she be next? would she end up like him? she was deep in the woods, eyes blown wide in fear, breath falling in harsh pants from her lips. ever since learning that hunters had been called in after the disastrous full moon, she’d been even more on edge. she had never encountered hunters, but the horror stories her parents told her as a child had stuck with her. they had hammered such a deep fear into her heart that even the mention of the words ‘werewolf hunters’ struck her still and instantly scared.

“--------ivan....”

“so, have you come  to...rip my throat out? tell me to control my pack? all the things that i haven’t heard before? because trust me when i say, i have” she began, her arms crossed against her chest as she kept her back to whomever was behind her. she knew what was coming. hunters --- she was ready. and she would get her pack ready for the next kill. 

looking up at the sky, the alpha sighed softly. with the chains in her hands, she threw them down on the ground. soon, her puppies and the rest of her pack members would be wrapped in the steel restraints. walking around the wooded area, she flicked away a flying bug before looking at the trees. her hands rested against the wood, feeling its strength. this would be the perfect one for her newborns. “--solid.” she knocked against it, hearing someone walking behind her. “later this evening, there will be nothing but puppy howls and rambunctious growls.”

“What are you looking at?” Julietta barked, eyes flashing darkly. “Are you looking for a fight?”
