I seriously hope you don't get any hate for that post about the abs. I thought I was one of the only ones who thought that. I get so annoyed at fans who always ask them to show their abs. It must be so uncomfortable for them and makes people only focus on the physicality of Boyfriend. Yes, they're good-looking, but their personalities and talents are what makes fans love them more. I haven't gotten hate (I have lost a couple followers though), but people have reblogged it and agreed with me in the tags and that makes me glad to know that other people are thinking the same way I am about this! It's really good to know I'm not alone in this, either. People tend to objectify idols and forget that they're human beings whom you must treat with respect, even if only for the hard times they've endured.I know Boyfriend is known as the cutesy flower boy group, but they're still people. They're adorable, funny dorks who are so wonderful and so worth getting to know. It makes me really sad the way people talk about Boyfriend sometimes. (I've seen them referred to as "disgusting gay trash", I've gotten rude anons about them, and reading the comments on any of their MVs usually makes me upset ugh)Personally, I prefer cutesy over manly, and while I will appreciate their bodies, I don't really care too much for it. And it's only okay (in my mind) if the idol is 100% okay with it. Hyunseong said he was not, which only made me more uncomfortable when people outside the fandom sexualized him.Ā I just want Boyfriend to be known for their talent and wonderful personalities rather than their looks ;;
