Today at 6.30pm in Van Nuys, California, I landed on Rwy 16R and became a Commercial Pilot. The journey to get here was the hardest thing I have ever done. There were so many hurdles, so many problems- whether it was bad weather, planes breaking, lack of money, self doubt ... But I didn't give up - and I passed. In 23 days time I turn 50. It's just a number. But it stands for something. It says that life doesn't have to have a 'use by' date. It's never too late to go for it and do things that maybe you had once told yourself, or others had told you, were impossible. I'm so grateful to be here living this life. Thank you to my dear friends, relatives and Facebook family who have cheered me along and supported me.
