“Open your mouth.” I do as he says and wait for a little ten seconds. The beeping sound resonates and he takes the metal out of my mouth the read the result. “Yeah you have a nice fever..”

“Ugh..” I let myself fall slowly on the couch.

“Go to bed now.”

“Uh?”

“You’re wearing shorts, not wearing any socks and you’re sick. Go to bed.”

“You’re leaving?” I look at him putting on his shoes and jacket.

“No, I’ll stay. I’m just gonna go get you medicine and other little things. I’ll be right back ok?” He smiles at me and starts to leave. Once the sound of the door closing resonates in my head, I stand up painfully and drag myself to my bed. As soon as I pull the cover to my chin, my eyes feel heavy and I fall asleep.

“Y/N?” My eyes open slowly. “I let you sleep for an hour, but you need to take some medicine and eat a little.” He says smiling lightly at me. “God you look awful.”

“Thanks..” I mumble annoyed even though I knew he was messing around.

“Ok, take this.” He gives me a little pill for colds and a gland of water. I take it and drink the whole glass. “Look at you.”

“I will murder you.”

“No you won’t.” He leans in to kiss my forehead and take my glass at the same time. “Here, I got you some soup.” He puts it on my desk and I raise an eyebrow. “You’re not gonna eat in your bed.”

“Fine~” I whine and take the cover off of me. I felt weaker than before. He comes to me, and gives me my slippers. He holds my hand until I’m at my desk and I start eating. He takes a random chair I have and sits next to me to make sure I eat everything. When I’m done, he takes the bowl away and gives me an orange. “An orange?” I take it in my hands confused.

“It’s good for when you’re sick. Here.” He takes it from my hands and starts to peal it for me. I look up, his eyes a concentrated and his lips lightly pouting. I smile to myself, I was so lucky to have him right now. “Alright, here Ahhh!” He says opening his mouth so I would open mine. I look down and he has a slice of the fruit ready to put in my mouth.

“Changkyun I—“

“Just Ah Y/N.” He shakes his head and I do as he says. He shoves the orange in my mouth and I chew my cheeks feeling really full. He starts laughing with so much love in his eyes. “You’re cute~”

“Shtop.” I say almost spitting out the orange.

“Ok, ok, here.” He gives me another slice. Once I finished everything he got for me, he walks me back to my bed. I get under the covers and from the corner of my eye I see him cleaning up a little. My eyes start to feel heavy little by little, still following Changkyun’s moves. When I see he’s done cleaning up my desk and some random stuff around my room, I open my cover lightly.

“Can you sleep with me.”

“Ah?” He turns around, looks at me for a second then smiles.

“Give me one second.” He comes to close the cover making sure I stayed warm. He turns around and he plugs in my small heater and my humidifier. He then goes to the window to close the blinds. My eyes follow him to my light switch, he turns the main light off and plugs in my fairy lights giving my room a warm and cozy vibe.

“You’re so caring wow~” I snicker weakly and he smiles at me.

“Of course I am.” He takes his shirt off then comes to join me under the covers. He takes me in his arms and the warmth of his skin seems to make me feel better right away. I can’t help myself but to smile like an idiot. Feeling his chest go up and down and hearing his calm breathing.

“Thanks Changkyun, you’re pretty neat.” I say with a little laugh in my voice.

Pairing: Hoseok x reader

“Mhh..”

“Y/N..”

“Pfff…”

“Y/N, stop that.” Five minutes pass, and I take a peak at the person sitting in front of me.

“Mnnhh..”

“Y/N, stop whining oh my god! It’s not that big of deal!”

“I don’t like stu—“

“I know you don’t like studying, you only said it thirty times since we got here. Please.. I really need to finish that. You can go if you want.” I raise an eyebrow and roll my eyes.

“I’m gonna go get food.”

“Can you order for me too. I’m joining you soon.” He says still looking at his screen through his glasses low on his nose.

“Sure. Wonho.” He raises his head at me raising an eyebrow.

“Why did you call me that?” Wonho is his idol name, and he knew I called him that to put distance between us when I was upset.

“Nothing~ I’ll be in the cafeteria.” I leave him alone on the table we were occupying in the library for the past hours.

Once I get the food, I sit at a table we usually sit at and go on my phone. Before I know it, I hear a bottle drop on the table and when I look up, Hoseok’s standing in front of me, taking his backpack off.

“Thanks for getting me food~” He smiles faintly.

“No problem.” He sits down and takes the sandwich I got him. “Y/N, we need to talk about something.” I raise my head, my heart beating, regretting my actions from earlier.

“Yes?” I reply really quietly.

“Don’t worry, it’s not something bad, I just want to clear some things up. First, I would like to say, I really appreciate you coming with me when I go to the library to study.” I raise an eyebrow still suspicious of what was coming. “But you have to understand that it’s to study. Not everyone is a genius like you who doesn’t need to study to do well. You have to respect that when I go to the library, I need to spend time on my work for me to be able to succeed.” I look down in shame and fidget with my fingers.

“I’m sorry..”

“It’s fine, just as long as you understand. If you think you can’t come to the library with me it’s fine too.” I look up and he’s smiling at me.      

“Fine, I’m sorry, I’ll stop complaining.”

“Also, please don’t call me Wonho. I mean not in the way you use it at least..” He says with a sad tone as he unwraps his sandwich.

“Maybe~”

I look down at my feet dragging on the ground due to my slides. The temperature was just perfect, it made the outside feel like inside. It felt like the whole campus was home. I turn my face to the person walking by me, his head low, looking at his phone. He was wearing slides too, shorts and a white long sleeve tee.

“Aren’t you hot like that?”

“Nope~” He turns to smile at me, directly putting his phone away.

I met Seungcheol the first week when class started. That’s also when I developed a massive crush on the caring rapper. However, not surprisingly, I am not the only one. So, sadly, seeing girls ask him out became a daily activity for me.

He opens the door of the main cafeteria for me and the AC of the building hits me like a truck. He chuckles at my reaction, and he takes off his long sleeve showing a t-shirt underneath.

“Here.”

“Thanks..” I put the oversized long sleeve over my head. We both slide our cards to enter to dining hall and soon enough, one of his member from his group calls him over. It wasn’t rare for us to run into one of his members. Not when he has twelve of them. This time it was Mingyu and Wonwoo.

“Come sit with us!” The excited puppy says with a huge smile taking me in his arms. “I haven’t seen you in so long.”

“Hey Y/N.” Wonwoo smiles at me and I give him a quick hug too.

“We’ll be right back.” Seungcheol’s hand ghosts over my waist to bring me with him. “So what do you want?”

“Cereals!”

“Mhh.. Let’s get you something a little more healthy than Froot Loops.”

“UUHHH?” I dramatically turn to him and he giggles.“What? No! Why?”

“I’ve watched you eat those for morning, lunch, and dinner too for a week. Your diet is so unhealthy Y/N.” I follow him to the little stove section. “I’ll make you eggs and toasts.”

“Mhh..”

“Bacon too?”

“Ok fine.” He smiles and starts to turn on the small burner. I watch him carefully break the eggs, add cheese, scallion and slices of bacon. He mixes everything to make them into scrambled eggs, and I really wanted to try it now. I stay really close to him watching his movements, and he looks down on me.

“Looks good right? Careful.” He says pulling me closer to him by my waist, as someone tries to pass by.

“I guess.” He giggles letting my waist go slowly. He then points to the plates on the side.

“Can you get me two plates please.” I hand them over to him, and he starts serving.

“What do you want to drink?”

“Orange juice.”

“Orange juice it is!” I start walking away to get us drink and meet him back at the table.

“Wow would you look at that. Y/N eating something else than cereals.” Wonwoo laughs a bit with Mingyu.

“Very funny.”

“I’m making sure she eats more healthy from now on.” Seungcheol smiles at he starts to dig in. My eyes turn to Mingyu and he grins at me. He was the only one that knew about my humongous crush on Seungcheol. “Why are you guys looking at each other like that?”

“Who the fuck gives a full on project as a first assignment of the semester..” I sigh my eyes concentrating on my computer. I had been in the library all day, and the last four hours at the only coffee shop opened 24h in the campus town. 

“What are you writing about?”

“Industrial catastroph—“ I stop mid word. I was by myself, was I finally hearing voices. I turn around and a guy is just leaned in looking at my screen. He has droopy eyes, a pouty mouth, and looks like he’s as tired as me but holds, what looks like, an Iced Americano in his hand.

“Should you be drinking that at this hour?” He looks taken aback by my comment, because I mean yeah we’re perfect strangers. But if he’s gonna come ask me what I’m writing about, may as well lecture him on how unhealthy this is.

“I have practice, dance practice right now. We’re just taking a break.”

“Ah~ I see.” Right, there’s them and us. The future idols, and then us, the future idols’ backstage. “You wanna sit ?” I invite him next to me, taking my bag off the high chair by the big window that gave onto the dimly lit street. He takes a sit like asked and sets down his coffee, taking a sip. I try to focus back on my work but I guess many questions go through my head. “What group?”

“Ateez, we just got together. We were trying to promote ourselves the last few days on campus but it’s hard when there’s such amazing senior groups.” He laughs kind of by himself. I thought it was intriguing. Self promoting. Which is actually really common on campus. Future idols create groups here, then pass out flyers around campus, asking us to come watch them at K-nights in the student center.

“Did you guys perform already?”

“Tomorrow night will be the first.”

“Ah.. So you’re new, new.”

“Yeah but, I’m confident we’ll raise some eyebrows.”

“Specialized in what?”

“Performance group.”

“Interesting.” I genuinely was. After all, I was studying to be in this industry later on. I always wanted to work in data mining, and knowing what would be big next. Getting informations and using them correctly to make a maximum profit. “What are you going to perform?”

“A song our leader put together. I can’t spoil~” He smiles, and wow, I don’t know how this is the first time I realize how precious his smile is. I take a double take and blink a few times.

“Of course not, but it wouldn’t matter with me. I never go to those things.” I laugh a bit embarrassed.

“What? Why not?” He puts down an elbow on the counter and rests his head in his palm.

“Not my thing?”

“And here I was gonna invite you to come see us.” He smiles embarrassed just like me.

“You don’t even know me.”

“I’m Jongho, Choi Jongho, and I’m a first year here.” I end up laughing, and smile at him.

“L/N Y/N.” His phone starts to buzz and looks down at it.

“Shit.. Ok sorry Y/N, I have to go back hum.. I’ll- I’ll see you around?”

“Hopefully~” I smile at him and he giggles a bit, taking his Iced Americano and walking out the little shop making the bell ring.

“Oh wOoOw !! Y/N was flirting~” I hear a sneaky voice from behind the counter.

Besides being my game room partner, Minhyuk was pretty random in my life. We had a lot of friends in common, and he just popped up randomly all the time. I’m eating with my suite mates at the cafeteria, here he comes. I’m training with Hyunwoo, he pops up. I am walking to class, he starts to walk by my side from nowhere talking loudly. The only time me hanging out with him is actually planned is when we go to the game room.

I am sitting at my desk trying to focus on my work but my awful roommate is playing video games on her desk, not really trying to be quiet. I sigh one too many times and end up turning around to look at her.

“Can you please lower it down a bit, I’m trying to concentrate.”

“I’m in my room, you can just go to the library.”

“It’s late, I’m not gonna walk all the way to the library by myself.” I catch myself trying to tell her why she has to lower her volume down and shake my head lightly. ”Wait, I don’t really have to explain myself either. This is also my room, if I want it to be quiet for a bit until I’m done with my work, I should be able to get a little bit of silence. Just put headphones on or something.”

“Oh my god! Why are you always so bossy ! Literally you never let me breathe !” She finally looks at me, and I raise my eyebrows.

“Excuse me?”

“You literally judge everything I do.”

“I judge everything you do? You steal my shit ! You take my clothes behind my back ! You never respect me when I ask the simplest thing like ‘please be more quiet when I fucking STUDY?’. And I’m the one not letting you breathe? If I let you breathe, you would take all of my stuff and rip all of my clothes up. What the FUCK ??” I raise my voice for the first time at her and she looks taken aback.

“Oh my god I take your stuff once and it’s stea—“

“NO! Ok no ! If I tell you do not use one of my products because it is either expensive or sentimental. You DO NOT USE IT! I don’t fucking care if it’s just a little or whatever. If I tell you no, and you still fucking do it? Sorry it’s STEALING!” I stand up getting worked up, and she does too.

Soon enough we get everything out of our chest regarding what we hate about one another and our suitemate coming in is what calms us down. The hallway representative is called to mediate, the fight getting out of control, and now.. I am staring at my main door from the hallway.

“What.. the… fuck?”

“Oh, Y/N!” I turn my head slowly and see a smily Minhyuk. “What’s up? Why are you looking at your door so dramatically.”

“I was just kicked out of my own fucking dorm..”

“Uh? You’re not living here anymore?”

“No, I—I do but, the hallway representative just told me to leave for now, so my.. roommate can have time.. for herself?” I say completely dumbfounded by the situation. “I was literally studying for an exam I have for my class tonight, and I’m the one that’s been told to leave?” His facial expression gets serious and he gets closer.

“Do you want to come over to study? It’s pretty quiet right now. Kihyun is out, Changkyun and Jooheon are out too. I think Hoseok is in class, so there’s only me Hyungwon and Hyunwoo.”

“Su—sure.. Weren’t you going somewhere?”

“I was gonna join Jooheon, Changkyun and their lady friends to get food.”

“Oh.. you know what.. I’ll just come with you actually.” He looks at me for a moment then shrugs.

“Ok let’s go!” Once we get there, I recognize the girls from some of my classes. Jooheon’s ‘lady friend’ is actually an old friend from high school too.

“Ugh, what a bitch. Are you gonna move out?”

“I really want to..”

“Then come live with us! We have a room open, plus it’s a single. It’s only me and this girl, she’s adorable and super soft. I mean like she got a forehead kiss the other day from Hyungwon and she talked about it all day.” She laughs about it with Jooheon and I smile. These girls knew all the guys like me, there was no reason for me to say no. It already felt like a little family.

“That would make the room change process easier~ Are you really ok with that?”

“If she says it’s ok go for it Y/N !” Minhyuk smiles at me. Weirdly enough, only good things happened when I spent time with Minhyuk.

“Thanks! That would be amazing~”

“Ayy, all my favorite girls in the same apartment.”

“What about me?” The girl next to Changkyun says a bit offended.

“Your apartment is also fucking amazing.” He smiles and everyone starts talking about random stuff. Once it’s almost time for my class to start, I leave them after exchanging phone numbers, and Minhyuk offers to walk me there. We walk in a comfortable silence, his hands in his pockets, he’s gazing at the sky with a small smile on his lips.

“You look happy.” I tell him my smile getting bigger.

“I am! I saw you sad and that broke my heart, but look at you now. You’re getting a new room, and a single! With great girls! You used to complain a lot about your roommate and it made me sad to see you so stressed out about all of this.”

“Wow, thanks Minhyuk.”

“Of course~” Now I don’t know if it’s because I had my periods, or if I was tired, or even because I had screamed my lungs out right before, but I start to feel tears trickling down my warm cheeks. He notices real fast and turns to me stopping me in my tracks. “Y/N? What’s wrong?”

“I don’t know. I don’t think they’re sad tears.. I’m just— I don’t know. I’m so tired.. I really don’t want to go back to my room tonight..” He looks at me for a minute, then takes me in his arms.

“You don’t have to. Tonight, just sleep over at my place ok?”

“I can’t do that.” I try to dry my tears but he hugs me tighter almost making any sorts of pain go away.

“Please I insist. I’ll come pick you up after class, we’ll go get ice cream, m&ms, cookies, gummies, and we’ll pig out in my bed while watching dumb movies. Tomorrow is Friday, we don’t have class so we can even sleep in and everything.”

“Really?” This offer was too tempting to pass.

“We can even order pizza.”

“Oh my god pizza, I’m in.” I say almost in a desperate tone after hearing pizza. Yeah, maybe it was because of my periods.

“Ah HA !!! I WIN !! YOU LOSE !!! Once again !!” Minhyuk starts coming up to my face to give it a finger flick. I groan and rub my forehead.

“Playing against you is annoying.”

“Sore loser.” He smiles resting his body on his cue stick.

“Whatever, I’m done for today.”

“Are you serious? Come on, one more game..”

“How do you expect her to want to play with you when you act like that?” Kihyun says raising an eyebrow from one of the high tables by the pool tables.

“Y/N, come on I’m sorry. Play one more game?”

“One more that’s it.” I sigh and take the cue stick again as he places the balls on the green table. I try my best however, after a good fifteen minutes, Minhyuk wins again.

“Ok, Y/N, the way you hold your stick is weird.” He comes up behind me as I roll my eyes. “Here.” He places a ball in front of me. “Act as if you’re about to hit it.” I bend over the table, placing two fingers on the green and putting the stick over them. Suddenly, I feel his arms warp around me, and his body bend over mine. My eyes widen but he just starts talking before I can call him out. “The technique you’re using is hard, try wrapping one of the finger over the stick to hold it in place like that.” He changes my finger so my middle finger is wrapped around the end of the stick. “Like that, try hitting it now.” I do as he says and the stick hits the center of the ball, directly into one of the holes. “Look at that ! Now try hitting another ball with the white one and into a hole.”

“Ok!” I bend over again and he stays close to me. I hit the ball into another one and it smoothly goes into a hole.

“Wow! You’re actually a natural.”

“She’s gonna wipe the floor with your face once she gets used to it.” Kihyun laughs on the side and Minhyuk glares at him.

“We’ll see..”

“Ok, let’s play again!” Minhyuk looks at me hesitantly.

I walk down the hallway to go to the very loud lounge. One of my suitemate told me to come to hang and I guess I could do that now that most of my homework was done. I walk down the small flight of stairs and here it was the large lounge. It has couches, three TVs around the walls, a ping pong table and some random tables around.

“Yunho STOP !!” My suitemate tries not to laugh as the giant was jumping around the couches. Her boyfriend Mingi was trying his best not to join him, but soon enough they were jumping around together.

“Hey.” I say lightly. There was Yunho, Mingi, my suitemate, and a guy I had never seen before.

“Oh ! Y/N~ Wooyoung this is Y/N, my invisible suitemate.” I turn my head to the said guy that I hadn’t met before. Mingi and Yunho I knew mainly because they were always over at our place to see my suitemate, Mingi’s girlfriend. The third guy has not said a single word since I walked in. He has short purple hair and one cute lazyish eye. Soon, I realize that he has light eyeshadow with a light brown purple tone. For some reason my heart was beating like crazy.

“I’m Wooyoung, nice to meet you.” He says once I’m close enough and sit in the couch in front of him.

“H-hey.” I smile trying to control my voice. “Nice to meet you.”

“Thank god you came, hanging out alone with those three loud asses can become an actual chore.” My friend laughs and I raise an eyebrow at Wooyoung that seemed really quiet and nice.

“No problem, I had to get my head out of my homework. It’s kinda driving me crazy. Do you guys wanna go get food though?”

“Mhh?” She looks around and see that Yunho and Mingi calmed down at the offer.

“Oh my god, let’s go to Sizzle Griddle!” Yunho then says excited.

Like the giant puppy said, we were now on our way to Sizzle Griddle. Mingi, Yunho and my suitemate were having fun running around, and I was stuck walking besides Wooyoung.

“So, data scientist? That’s no joke.” He says with a small smile.

“Yeah it’s very challenging and it gets me really busy, let’s say it that way.” I try to laugh it off even though this major was killing me.

“You don’t want to be an idol?”

“Mhh? Not really no.”

“You’re really talented though.” I turn my face to look at him. How did he know? He seems to understand what my look and laughs lightly. “Come on, you graduated top vocalist from one of the best performing art school in the country. As an aspiring idol, I already saw your face around in the papers and such.”

“Ah.. Yeah..”

“So you know some of the members from the group Zero?”

“The super rookie girl group? Yeah.. I graduated with their leader, I think she’s good friends with Yunho.”

“So you’re a good dancer right?”

“I would say so yes.”

“This might sounds weird but, I need someone to help me with dance lately.”

“Uh?”

“A girl, but it’s not so much help it’s..” He starts to stutter probably realizing that his request was weird. I crack a smile.

“I’ll get that for you~” He coos to his date, handing me his card. I sigh trying to hide my mocking smile and slide the card.

“Here’s your receipt, and here’s your pager. It’ll ring when your order is ready.”

“Thank you Y/N.” He smiles at me, and lowers his hand to the girl’s lower back to guide her to a table.

“No problem.” I pull a fake amused smile.

“Damn, Kihyun coming in here with a different girl every week.” Bambam says as he starts doing their order.

“He really does.”

“Don’t you have a crush on him?”

“What? No, the fuck..”

“Whatever you say~” He smiles at me teasingly.

“How many death threats to you receive a day?”

“A lot coming from people with lawyer friends that will look away if they murder me..” “Same goes for me~” I smile at him and he smiles back.

Ok, let’s say I do have a crush on that shit eating grin dude. Last person I would admit that to would be Bambam, actually no, it would be to myself. My shift comes to an end a few minutes after that and when I leave, Kihyun is still laughing it off with his new date. I roll my eyes and leave the coffee shop, my next destination being the library.

Three hours pass by, and I get a text from my roommate asking me if I wanted to make food with her. I haven’t eaten anything since this morning and I started to feel dizzy. I look down at my papers, and decide I’ve done enough for today. I start walking back to my dorm, and once I’m in my hallway, I see Kihyun getting out of a dorm. I raise an eyebrow, I knew where Kihyun lived and this was a girls only hallway.

“What are you doing here?”

“Mhh?” He raises his head and sees me unlocking my door. “Ah.. the.. the girl I was with earlier lives here, we just watched a movie.” I raise an eyebrow and nod as an answer when the door suddenly opens.

“Ah! Y/N !! You’re here~ Let’s get COOKING !!!” She turns her head all happy and sees Kihyun. “You! You cook don’t you?”

“Y—Yes?”

“You come in too !!” He knew my roommate and knew there was no saying no to her.
