Apparently, the doctor had already had half the conversation in his own head, as he was already kicking off one of his boots. 

After freeing himself and pushing the boot away, he hiked up his trouser leg over his calf to better show off his ankle. There, an old–rather messy looking–scar dragged through the flesh of Ludwig’s upper ankle. The scar tissue was so messy, the hairs on the doctor’s legs abruptly stopped around it, before starting again later down his leg.

Sniper froze in the middle of his sifting through one of the medical supply cabinets when he spotted the other man enter the room from the corner of his eye. He immediately shut it, attempting to play things off like he hadn't just been rummaging through Medic's stock.

"Ah, doc--there you are! I, uh, just wanted to say real bang up job ya did out there today, mate. Just ace!"

  now, now  ---  this was peculiar !   what on god’s green earth could be so very embarrassing that sniper couldn’t trust his very own doctor with the information he was withholding ?  with a rapid pace, medic approached the sniper, a hint of irritation lacing his features.  he could recognise that loud, metallic noise anywhere.
