i know this is going to make me The Downer in a lot of peoples' eyes, but i don't really care for tumblr jokes that rely on unreality.

in all honesty, i wouldn't mind a Goncharov style post once in a while, as i do like unreality as a horror element! however, i take issue with the general consensus on here that the bit matters more than anything else. i don't care for gimmick accounts for the same reason: i don't think the bit gives you the right to be an asshole.

i had to think on this one for a bit, trying to figure out what i wanted to say and how to say it. but people will take whatever arguments they want in bad faith regardless so here goes:

i agree that most psych terms need to be put on the shelf because they are being misused in ways that are trivializing. however! i think this sometimes leads into "no one should use these terms unless they've been officially diagnosed by a psych professional with this specific diagnosis." this is where the conversation loses me.

for eileen - she has adhd, she laughs at the dumbest jokes imaginable, the damage done to her in-game leaves gives her permanent vision damage in her eye & lasting pain in her arm, she likes her hair cut short because she chews on it if it gets too long, she has a sweet tooth, and if given a decent weapon (and not beaten all to hell) she can take care of herself.
