who r some of the best people in your life. Top 10. & why
definitely my mom & dad. they have set an incredible example of Christlike love and hospitality for me to follow.
my brothers, they are always there for me. and even though they’re generally different from me, they still like being around me.
my best friend Matt. is always there when I need him, and keeps me accountable and is always understanding when I need him to be.
my “little brother” Harley. has an unreal heart for the kids in his generation.
my friend Ryan. Ryan’s a guy I met growing up at church camp. he was on the staff there when I was in high school and when I went to college and eventually started working there myself he was still there and we got super close and I still talk to him a lot. he has this just lethal combination of knowledge of/hunger for theology, humility and a great big heart. I love talking to him and getting advice from him.
Don. Don’s my mentor, I met him at church camp like Ryan and he’s been my spiritual Obi Wan Kenob (which is a great analogy because hes the biggest star wars fan ever)
Jessica & Alan. Jes and Alan are two people I grew up going to camp with and we graduated high school at the same time and we all even went to college together. they started dating in high school and got married last year and they have been tremendous friends to me for the longest time.
Ciarra. Ciarra is a friend I made sophomore year of high school and she was one of my best friends. I went away to college and we started kind of not talked as much. last fall I went to her wedding and I started hanging out with her and husband a lot and now we’re really close again and she’s just awesome.
Jawn. Jawn is one of the guys I’m in a band with. which is weird for me to say here because I don’t talk about my band a lot because we haven’t really written any new music in a while because we were all away at different colleges. but yah he’s one of my best friends and he’s been a huge blessing to me since high school.
Kevin Schlabaugh. Kevin’s a guy I met on here. he’s a youth pastor like me and he listens to pretty much the same music as I do. which is how we started talking. as I have gotten to know him better I’m finding out more and more that he’s like the coolest guy ever and he’s been such a blessing to me the past year. back in march there was a big youth ministry conference that was in Columbus and he stayed with me to avoid staying in an expensive hotel and we went to it together all weekend and it was a blast and just like that was a huge blessing and he’s just amazing.
