She considers art beautiful, especially pieces that were crafted during the post-impressionism era. Perhaps it was a bit odd, some paintings in that particular movement could be considered rather strange but she always found herself drawn in towards them whenever she visited a gallery. Her favorite works were always those depicting nature, something she never saw often as a child where she was caged in by looming buildings within a concrete jungle.

Seolhyun doesn’t pity herself in regards to her past, considering the gloomy nightmare she remembered to be the reason she was strong enough to face anything that stood in her way. Presently, she finds herself in the company of another sleazy swine- this would be the third one just this week. She’s all smiles when she greets him, bowing a full ninety degrees to show her upmost respect. That was always important with this type of man. They wanted everyone to kneel before them and the female considered bowing to be the next best thing.

He stares at the other’s handwriting, a brow raised in confusion as the other wrote something in a language that he can’t decipher. Chinese? Christian never bother to pay attention on that class and now he slightly regret it. “What is this mean? Handsome?”

he’s a paradox that she can’t quite figure out, an itch that she can’t quite scratch. he hurts her with his words, and pleads forgiveness between her thighs. so she forgives, and she forgets; because absolution comes easier between moans.

What was up with this guy? Holden thought to himself as shoved his hands in the pockets of his long black coat, rolling his eyes to indicate obvious discontent. There was a never ending list of things that Holden despised, and near the top of that list was being ignored. He finally released a brief chuckle, masking his own annoyance before he spoke again. “I swear you’ve been staring at your phone for ten minutes, are you still checking yourself out?”

   She’s unsure of whether it’s the question or the tone of his voice but she can’t help but roll her eyes, her gaze still focused on the cellphone she held in her lap. Perhaps she owes it to him, considering he’s helped her out in the past, but his face itself was so infuriating she could never take his assistance seriously, let alone show any sing of gratitude. How pitiful it must be to be nothing more than a toy for her to use. 

   Jieun taps out a few more words and hits send before meeting his gaze, painted lips quirking into a small smirk. She rolls into a sitting position, leaving behind the previous comfort she found to stand and meet his eyes dead on. As calculating as ever she waits, allowing silence to settle between them.
