"Whoa.. she's beautiful." Clay gasped as he saw the light fury, Kro was crouched right beside their human and decided to utter a soft croon to alert the dragon they were there. (( this might be hard since she doesn't like humans BUT why not try? ))
Among the foliage of the forest, long green grass blades and the broad leaves of various plants hung over smooth, perfectly laid pearlescent white scales that caught the light and reflect a rainbow against the surroundings about her. The porcelain, like pure crystal, the refraction cast by the shifting form danced among darkened shadows in the pine, glittering off the surface of the water she stood near. As silent and as unmoving as a statue cast to the woodlands, some relic of a bygone age the last beacon of a buried civilization reclaimed by nature. Her eyes had been following a rare treat- a large rainbow fish fluttering through the water with all the grace and speed of a bird soaring through the sky. The dragon was hunkered down, muscles tight like the coil of a spring ready to snap and launch her into the air before diving down and catching it with perfect grace between mighty jaws.
Then suddenly a sound, a twitch of a nub like an ear, and her muscles were now infientely more tense for a completely different reason.
An unfamiliar sound caused her head to whip around with all the terrifying speed of a ferocious predator turning on a competitor that had gotten the jump on it. Pupils narrowed to slit, a sound like a wildcat’s growl resounding in the beasts chest, so much louder and so much deeper than a mere felines. Something was out there, and without hesitation, the Light Fury turned, wings fanned. With one powerful push, the beast was off her feat, teeth bared, mouth open and glowing with a vibrant purple glow before a blast of heated plasma fired off into the direction of where the sound had come from. Too high. It whizzed past the true source, colliding with a greater tree far behind them and burning all the way through its trunk. Eyes darted about as it collapsed to one side, startling a collection of birds into flight.
She stayed low, growling, sniffing- waiting for any sign of motion. Any change in the environment. A sign that perhaps whatever was there was now gone... or vaporized.
