Auntie Inithia was an oldest member of our clan. Her comebacks needed some work, but no one would withstand her in sword and spear combat. She seldom told us any stories around the fireplace or remembered any of the fairy tales. Kids were polite and cautious around her. Adults were protective.“Sit down and think about your life.” she would say whenever one would face the struggle. “And when you’re done, get up and and keep doing what you should be doing.” I remember her vaguely. Only that she picked me up in her arms once when I was a toddler, looked at me and told my mom that I need a hair cut. And that she gave me my first weapon - a small dagger. “You can hold the weapon, you are good.” she’d say to me.
She didn't do much, perhaps. Yet her presence was always of a huge significance. May Glint carry your spirit to the better world, Auntie.

Skaalds have long forgotten about us. Last song dates to when norn settled on current Shiverpeaks. About a man who’s name was drilled into our little brains since we were born.People remember Orvo Magnussen as a Guardian who was… a tad bit obsessed with leaving vast legacy to his descendants. By that I mean, he would religiously scavenge around Lornar’s Pass in hopes to find some sort of ancient relic he could bring home. In decades he would accumulate all sort of things - from impressive golden dishes to useless junk. He collected children the same way. Half of my relatives are descendants of those poor orphan norn kids he’d pick up during his travels, but unlike golden claws and globs of dirt he’d raise them as his own and love them unconditionally.
To this day I try to understand when did the songs stop and what caused them to. Such a vast legacy… and yet half of his shit is missing, another part is now in Durmand Priory and I am missing the rest…
