"Just go." vyder xo
Normally, Vivian would have spun around, pissed and annoyed, quickly wanting to put as much distance between her and Ryder as possible. But in that moment, she didn’t.
"No," she said to his back, watching as he raked a hand through his hair. She walked forward, slowly, until she reached him. Holding her breath, she extended a hand, her fingers brushing against his shoulder. Though a pang soon went through her chest as he shook her off, and Vivian swallowed a lump in her throat.
Say it.
"Ryder, I-" she stopped, drawing in a breath. I love you. Say it. But she couldn't, her mouth wouldn't push out the last two words, no matter how long she stood behind him. And he didn't turn around either, though Vivian ached to see his face. “I’m sorry." One second passed, and another. "Ryder,” She breathed his name, unable to remember a time where she felt more vulnerable. And he wasn't even looking at her. Wouldn't, even look at her. Biting her lip, she shut her eyes and shook her head.
Say it.
”I- um, I- shit, I just want us to be okay. Don’t shut me out. Please,” she begged, though as the silence grew, Vivian blew out a frustrated breath. At herself, at him, and then she did what she normally would do. Vivian spun around, and left, putting as much distance between the two of them as possible.
