event 003 — our maiden's harvest.
hello little grovelings,
details on completing tasks and special prompts for activity can be found below in each section. along with these options, there is also a small section for headcanon prompts. headcanon prompts are a little different from special prompts as these prompts effect the town as a whole versus just your individual muse. as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to main!
please remember to tag any and all event related posts with the event tag "event 003: our maiden's harvest".
sending well wishes.
get together with the townsfolk of velgrove at the lakehouse library to send well wishes to your fellow neighbors and residents!
put together a little satchel and list the ingredients or trinkets you're putting in there. tell us — what was the satchel made for? protection, happiness, etc. then, send it off to whoever it was made for through their ask or submit box (if you're having issues with wordcount limit try using the submit or their ask if you want to send it to them anonymously)!
as an alternative, post about satchels that your muse made, for who and what, and if they chose to hang it on the tree in wither's end or give it to their loved hated one. this can be done in bullet point or para form. if you are choosing this option, it should be at least 250 words to count for activity!
headcanon prompts.
there is a limit on headcanon prompts. whether you are claiming for a self para or thread starter, please make sure to comment below which you are claiming. this will be done on a first come first serve basis. if writing a self para, it should be at least 400 words to count for activity. (1 of 2 available)
MISSING VISITORS — velgrove sees more visitors during this time as outsiders come to marvel at the golden alter that gets lit in town center. sometimes these visitors also take part in the festivities around town. as activities are spread throughout all of velgrove, some visitors do go missing and it becomes the responsibility of the sheriff's office to clean after them. most times, visitors that disappear have information with their luggage that allows things to be sent back home. [claimed by @vel-misol]
WITHER'S END — during the third day of festivities, seven veiled maiden figures show up in a circle around wither's end. this is witnessed by townsfolk going to hang their satchels. upon further investigation, there are remnants of a summoning circle found in the center of wither's end along with unknown sigils burned into the ground. through the fourth day of the festival, residents are weary of entering wither's end. on the last day, the tree in wither's end completely heals and stands out amongst the decaying and rotting flora in wither's end.
special prompts. (interactions with eeries — contains dark/mature themes.)
this time around, special prompts are free to claim on a first come first serve basis. the exception is the dreamwalkers prompt — there is no limit on how many muses can write for that! self paras written in response should be at least 400 words to count for activity.
DREAMWALKERS - your muse finds themself dreaming of walking to the fields for three nights straight. when they wake up in the morning, they find themself in bed back home, but their hands are covered in dirt and there is a handful of flowers in their room. no one claims to have seen them walk to or from the field throughout the night, but all evidence seems to indicate they must have at some point.
VEILED MAIDEN FIGURES — of the seven hooded maiden figures that appeared in wither's end, your muse finds themself in a concerning situation involving one of them. (1 of 3 available)
[claimed by @velhansol] one maiden figure stands at the end of your muse's bed every night of the festival. it does not speak or move at all, except for its head that follows in whichever direction your muse moves to. come morning, the figure always disappears in the same way it appears - in the blink of an eye.
[claimed by @velxgraves] during daylight hours, one maiden figure seems to follow your muse wherever they go, keeping a distance of 100 feet. no one else seems to see or notice them. but the figure is there whether your muse can see it or not. though seeing it seems to not to matter at all considering your muse can sense its presence.
one maiden figure stands atop town hall. on the third day, your muse can hear a low humming whenever walking nearby. the humming turns into whispers the next day. and on the last day of the festival, your muse begins to hear a full-fledged voice speaking to them.
