I thought it was cute the idea of Kotoyuki using a spell on Hinako was more "Lemme make this letter smell nice". At least that's how I remember it.
The lore brings up sandalwood being used in love spells. Aka that scent that a lot of folks associate with men in cologne. ( Oh the amount of times I was out shopping with Mom and she's all "ooo come smell this candle it smells like boys" lol )
It just makes me giggle picturing Kotoyuki wanting his letter to smell nice and yet some comments from people and even the game itself are all "HES A MENACE. HES A MONSTER" XD

Yes it wasn't set in the town...but it's still a good game folks. And uh...the villain? Random Guy...hard to figure out what he is like yes bad but also...not bad? Listen he isn't bad looking and due to peer pressure I finally drew him...in that style...yea just a good time
