Request for Kotal/Reptile and fluff
“Syzoth.”
Reptile started, lifting his head from where he had apparently once again fallen asleep against Kotal, head resting against Kotal’s bicep. Kotal chuckled as Reptile rubbed his face blearily, trying to get his bearings.
“You are far too warm for me to sit next too,” Reptile groaned as he straightened up.
“You say that every time we share a seat next to each other when we travel,” Kotal chuckled fondly, reaching over to gently thumb away at some harmless spit that had managed to slip free from Reptile’s mouth while he had slept soundly. Not mixed with the chemicals that were released some a small sack within his throat that would make his spit into his infamous acid. “And yet…”
Reptile huffed, folded his arms across his chest and tried to sit up straight and focus.
Kotal traveling by covered wagon or caravan was a necessity sometimes, to hide his identity or simply travel unimpeded. But even still, Kotal liked to have one of his trusted inner circle with him in those cases and Reptile was finding himself more and more being that one person riding with him. And finding himself more and more passed out against Kotal’s bonfire of a body.
“I also need to protect you,” Reptile said.
“I know. But I feel that your resting has not caused harm or trouble or annoyance so far, so it is harmless,” Kotal smiled. “Also endearing.”
Reptile chirped in embarrassment before tucking his arms tightened across his chest and staring ahead while Kotal chuckled.
“I am not endearing,” Reptile huffed.
“Of course not, dearest,” Kotal chuckled, leaning over to kiss the top of Reptile’s head and making him grumble. “But, I am serious about your rest being harmless. And I quite understand that given a heat source, you get sluggish and comfortable and wish to bask.”
Reptile looked ahead for a moment, before letting himself slouch again, resuming the position that he had woken up from again. This time though, Kotal slipped an arm around him and let him rest his head against the side of the man’s pectoral. The heat of the man’s skin immediately started sinking into him and started making him listless and tired again.
“Rest, dear Syzoth,” Kotal hummed, a very large hand settling on Reptile’s hip and squeezing softly.
Reptile’s eyes closed and he feeling quite warm and safe, and fell asleep again.
