One of my favorite canon x canon ships for Kira.

So take PatPaul but make it KosaKira, and instead of Kira being PB, it'll be Kosaku. Why? Because I like the concept and I got really tired of seeing Kira as Patrick.

There is not nearly enough fics to satisfy my craving. Two which I really enjoy, sit on 2 and 3 chapters each, unfinished and last updated years ago.

Something about taking a side character that has no screentime and coming up with the character of said person based on others opinions on him. (Making Kosaku dead inside(tm) could be seen as cruel irony but it fits surprisingly well from what we know of him.)

The ones where they’re working at the same average office job works very well for them. If you were to be a coworker you would probably think they were somewhat similar. But in reality they are two very different people.

Whilst kosaku is lonely, Kira choses to spend his time by himself. People leave kosaku alone without any effort on his part. Kira actively avoids attention.

Kosaku is just some sad guy in a failing marriage, dead end job and struggling financially. Kira is a fucking serial killer, with MAGICAL POWERS that EXPLODES PEOPLE, he spends his free time walking around with a dismembered hand. I'm pretty sure that if Kosaku were to be stabbed with the stand arrow he would just die.

Kira would definitely admire the fact that Kosaku manage to blend in so well. That almost no one in their office knows his name but instead refer to him as "the guy who's always working overtime" if at all.

The ship tag is currently the only one I have bookmarked on ao3. Out of the six fics I've downloaded from ao3 two of them are kosakira. (Yes the same two I mentioned at the start of this post) One of the authors of one of the fics wrote in the comments that they maybe were working on something similar and omg I am holding my breath and thumbs.
