The door bell gave off a satisfying tinkle as Thera pushes through the door. She will be the first to admit it has taken her too long to visit her old pen pal. Thera hoped Kore would understand, the two had joked more times than she could count about being bad at being part of a coven, a fixed community. Both their lifestyles had made it, difficult, to say the least.
Thera glanced around the shop. It was certainly much more organized than Thera kept her storefront. She grinned as she ran her finger along a display case, surveying the beautiful things kept inside, while clenched the pile of letters in her other. Thera had always been fascinated by tinkering and magical jewelry, but what Kore did was a masterclass. Each piece displayed glowed with an artistry that most would take a lifetime to hone. Kore had written to her about some of her new creations, some of which Thera had tried to replicate with varying degrees of success. But she knew she would never reach the innovative heights Kore did.
She glanced up as she heard a rustling coming from the back of the store as the fellow witch emerged. “Hiya Kore,” Thera held up the letters like they were an admission, “long time no read.”
