#kontraptioneering

After a long break, I think the Kontraptionist Lab is going to get back to work. There’s just too many signs stacking up, and they all say GO. So I’m going to start by converting this terrible little ATV over to an EV for my kids.  Also, some client work came in - an old project, but a really awesome one.  Stay tuned for more. We’re back, and acquiring tools! Sure, the mix of projects is going to be a bit different, and the frequency of posting will probably never reach their historical highs again, but it’s all going to be fantastic. And also in Los Angeles now. I can’t wait!

Behold, the video installation for the control room windows for The Great Shop Party of 2013, by our good friends at  Dustbunny Studios. You can probably guess the theme :-)  This triptych was back projected in to the three massive 4' x 9' windows of the office overlooking the shop floor in what was the most epic NYC party I've ever had the pleasure of going to. To all of my good friends and colleagues, thank you for one amazing night. The talent and spectacle that you all came together to create was unforgettable. 

You guys are awesome! I know I've been neglecting the blog a lot lately, and I'm sorry. I'm going to make it up to you RIGHT NOW!

The internets are coming! The internets are coming! The office is also done and ready to occupy for all practical purposes as well. Some electrical work and a little clean-up, and we should be back in action.

Note to Tumblr - Do you guys have a rating system? Original posts to reblog ratio? Post to following ratio? A "Didn't set a tumblr icon" flag?  Or is that something I could do with the API or whatever? There seems to be a lot of goats amongst the sheep these days. Just wondering...
