6. how did writing change you?
i've always been writing, ever since i learned to write, i reckon... but writing is a practice, so it's always changing me, i guess. the more you write, and more importantly, the more you share your writing with the world, the more you learn about yourself. i think i've learned to be more accepting of who i am.
joining writing workshops also really changed the way i view my own writing, and writing in general. i used to be really precious about my writing, not wanting to share it til it was "perfect," but now i have seen the light (haha) and love the process of workshopping and making changes based on feedback. it's helped me mature so much as a writer.
24. favorite scene you’ve ever written
oh my goddd every time i get asked this one it's like having to choose a favourite child...
i still really love the opening scene of Conquest of Spaces (SasoDei, sci-fi AU) because of all the pretty stars.
but a close second has to be the motorcycle scene in U and Our Hands (SasoKonaDei, cyberpunk AU, threesome SMUT) if only for Konan's line "Don’t be jealous, my scorpion... I have two hands." i spent a lot of time picking my friend's brain about how you'd fit three people on a motorcycle...
26. story you’re most proud of
ooh this is an unexpectedly hard one... i have three, for different reasons.
i'm proud of First Sight, Second Thoughts (SasoDei canon-verse) for being my fic with the most kudos, even though i don't understand why??
also proud of this story from the middle of my big SasoDei modern AU series (which as a whole i am also pretty proud of) for being the first mlm smut i ever posted to the internet: Broken in the Rain (ItaDei smut, infidelity) it also happens to be my top hit story, again not super sure why, maybe people check it out for the smut and/or infidelity drama...
finally, in terms of challenging stories, i would like to say i'm proud of Body, Mind, and Soul, my take on Sasori's transfer to his puppet body, but it's really a tough thing to say. i know a lot of people have their own ideas about it, and my take isn't the same. it was a really hard piece to write, and there's a lot i still really love about it, but having it out there in the world also makes me nervous....
