finished 91w. finished the sequels to the story too. i wish i could say i'll be normal again now and never talk about it again. but i'd be lying. i need everyone EVERYONE to read it. this fucking changed me
Finally worked my way back to the best fanfic Ive ever read. #91Whiskey Speaking of... Anyone know where I can get a physical copy? I know you gorgeous folks have seen posts about it.. Help a lady out??🙏
If you have been on the fence for any reason about reading the Destiel fanfic Ninety One Whiskey by komodobits, I have to tell you to run, don’t walk, to AO3 to read it.
It is long (over 400,000 words), but that’s good, because you won’t want it to end. It isn’t sad, but it is heart breaking in the most beautiful way. The writing is gorgeous and transporting and so true to life. Be prepared for gore and tears. They are necessary. Be prepared to love your favorite characters in a way you didn’t know you could.
For your viewing pleasure (and mine) above, I give you 28 year old Misha and 23 year old Jensen. You know….for reference.

For First Lieutenant Novak, this is less than helpful, as he has so far met his platoon’s designated medic a grand total of twice, and has both times found Sergeant Winchester to be the optimum combination of reckless, arrogant, and downright insufferable so as to make cohesive platoon function near impossible. When the time comes to move out, however, Castiel has to reconcile himself to the fact that men are going to go down and trust that Dean Winchester may well be the only person who can put them back together again. I’m working my way through some horror classics, currently with the books and short stories that Stephen King references in his nonfiction work Danse Macabre as the ultimate stories of terror. One of them is a book that my dad — huge horror fan— also said was one of the scariest books he ever read.
… Unfortunately, I’m 350 pages in and it’s nowhere near as terrifying as that destiel fic written for the 2015 Dean Cas Big Bang…
That would be A Complete Kingdom by komodobits, the author of Ninety One Whiskey. Read here if you can stomach depersonalization and body horror. Be haunted forever, like I am 🙃

Hey you know whats fucked up is that the same thing Dean said to Sam the first time Sam died ("it's not even that bad. We're gonna patch you up, you'll be good as new.") is the exact same thing that 91w!Dean said to every soldier he patched up regardless of how bad of shape they were in anyways i want to kill myself
So so so happy to have the opportunity to have these on my shelf! Plus - what a wonderful way to support the PCRF. I think the link is still open on komodobits tumblr to support 🤝
Still thinking about “We are not getting a fish”.
