In short, I played the game on the PSP of Kollon ใใใ, and decided to review the game.
Kollon ใใใ (Ultimate Block Party) - this puzzle game, released in 2003 on arcade machines, and in 2004, a port on PSP. The game is very similar to Panel de Pon, and it seems to me that this is an arcade port, just updated. Place and flip colored blocks to clear the playing field as quickly as you can, but it's not as simple as it might seem. And in the arcade mode (Multi Play), each group of blocks of a certain color, destroyed by you, will be a kind of weapon that you will use against your opponent. For example, red will make your opponent's cursor just huge, orange will make the cursor take the color of the background, so that it will be very difficult for the second player to notice it, blue will cause rock fall from huge blocks on the opponent's field, yellow will hide some rows, and purple color will make several blocks of different colors indestructible. And between fights, they show the biography of the character and features, but the difference between eight characters is not prejudiced at all, except for three: Kollon, Marinne and President Goodman. This puzzle game has a plot, and you can watch it in the arcade version, but why they didn't make the plot like in the arcade for a portable console, but for some unknown reason they are not recognized. In 2005 and 2006, an updated version came out and a bunch of new modes were added, and it came out pretty good.
I want to talk about the characters, initially they planned to add more characters for the PSP port, they still donโt admit why they didnโt add the others, for example: a Bronkier with a dog mask or an Alien Octopus.
In 2009, the port came to DS only in Japan, initially they wanted to port it for Europe, but unfortunately it was canceled. The main character is Katochan, and there are changes and additions, but not enough for example: Achievement system and new game mechanics in Puzzle Challenge. But the port on the DS was bad, and all because it was bugged, and they do not allow to calmly make chains.
In the end of my review, I preferred the PSP version of the Kollon ใใใ puzzle game, but if more characters and an original plot were added, the game became popular, the idea is good. So my rating is 8 puzzle blocks out of 10.
