“aerum” by Cat Soup

There was a time when instrumentals made up like 90% of the uploads on Soundcloud, but in 2017, it seems that rappers have flooded the game. The one crew that seems to be keeping the producer-as-lead-artist spirit alive though, is Team Sesh. Several members of the group have been dropping little 5 track EPs here and there for years, but as the format has become less prevalent, Cat Soup in particular has doubled down. At 31 tracks, “aerum” may be his most extensive release to date. Whereas other beat-makers insist on having vocalists atop their music, Cat Soup continues to bless us with massive amounts of music, unburdened with the words of aspiring Soundcloud rappers.
