You’ve had fun with the starters, and now you want to see what they’ll be when they evolve, right? Lizard here, and luckily for you, Professor Sassafras figured out just that! Oh, you’re wondering when he’ll get back? He’s doing some very important stuff in western Kodio right now... I’m not sure how long he’ll be away! Anyway, on with the starters!

Paladan, the Leaf Pokemon Ability: Overgrow (Overcoat) Type: Grass Entry 1: “Paladan mainly live in tropical environments. Their prey ranges from small bug-types to mildly large bird Pokemon.” Entry 2: “The hood-like growth on its back can be used as a stretchy tarp. When in danger, Paladan will throw itself onto the ground and use its cape as natural camouflage.”

Quazi, the Timid Pokemon Ability: Blaze (Tough Claws) Type: Fire Entry 1: “Much less aggressive than Huochi, Quazi are quick to flee an uncomfortable situation.” Entry 2: “Quazi’s legs are exceptionally strong. If one cannot run from a predator, it will kick them in panic.”

I would have Professor Sassafras introduce you further, but he’s off on a business trip. Y’all can call me Lizard, and we’ve got some pretty important news on the Pokémon the Professor’s been researching! Now, he’s giving these three away to three lucky kids in the region after he’s done with them. Might as well get to know them before they’re gone!

Danian, the Leaf Pokémon Ability: Overgrow (Overcoat) Type: Grass Entry 1: “Because of their bright colors, they are often deemed poisonous by predators. However, this assumption is false.” Entry 2: “The growth on Danian’s shoulders looks like a hood, when, in fact, it is not. The edges bright colors and sweet scent lure in Danian’s bug-type prey.”

Huochi, the Timid Pokémon Ability: Blaze (Tough Claws) Type: Fire Entry 1: “On cold nights, Huochi warm up by lighting the ground beneath them with their flaming footsteps. After the fire goes out, the Huochi settles down.” Entry 2: “It is not a wise decision to approach a frightened Huochi. One may frighten it more, causing it to burst into flame.”

Did you know? The Kodio region actually has two sets of starter Pokémon for Trainers to choose from! Isn’t that exciting? I’ll introduce you to them real quick.

Dradling, the Plant Dragon Pokémon

Ability: Overgrow (Chlorophyll)

Type: Grass

Entry 1: “Dradling are very social Pokémon. They tend to get along with just about everything and everyone they meet.”

Entry 2: “It treasures the flower on the end of its tail. The size of the flower represents how close it is to evolving.”

Firixie, the Fire Sprite Pokémon

Ability: Blaze (Flame Body)

Type: Fire

Entry 1: “Its shy nature makes it a challenge to raise. Because of this, it is the least popular starter Pokémon choice.”

Entry 2: “Foolish trainers ignore this Pokémon because of the challenge it is to raise it. Wise trainers, however, know that it is actually one of the strongest starter Pokémon.”

Aquitty, the Aquatic Kitten Pokémon

Ability: Torrent (Poison Touch)

Type: Water

Entry 1: “They are self-conscious about their appearance. However, many people find this act adorable and believe it’s just for show.”

Entry 2: “Aquitty tries everything in its power to remove the spots from its body, deeming them ugly. Of course, these attempts are fruitless.”
