Basically, trying to dedicate alternate pages to either original design work, and familiar characters I enjoy, with a heavy emphasis on the vast world of Sonic the Hedgehog, since there's many, many characters and background fodder for a fun art challenge, especially when Sega is very open about releasing the production art, model sheets and various renders to get a really good look at the characters.

Also, fun to just experiment inkling and coloring with preexisting characters so I don't have to design something new every single time I want to try a new technique. I have a single brush pen that came with a sampler pack of ink pens, and I thought I'd try it out with the Wisp, Koco and Little Rex drawings and see if I want to invest in more or just enjoy the novelty.
