I can't believe it's been so long since I first posted the first chapter of Know Your Rights. This fic has helped me learn so much and was a lot of fun(and all-nighters) writing, and I'm so grateful for my readers who have supported me through so much love and kudos through it all.

It's a formal written communication — drafted by a lawyer — that tells the other party you're serious and ready to take legal action if they don't respond.

When should you send one?

A tenant refusing to vacate or pay rent

A client who hasn't paid your invoice

A builder or seller who broke a contract

It works because it creates real legal pressure — without going to court.

The other party now knows you have a lawyer involved. Most disputes get resolved at this stage itself.

If handling tear gas, be sure to wear gloves and a gas mask. It is a super irritant, and the canisters can be hot enough to burn you.

Yes — in many cases, it’s unconstitutional and unlawful. Here's why:

⚖️ 1. Constitutional Protection: Due Process

Under the 5th and 14th Amendments, the government cannot take away your property (including benefits) without due process.

✅ Supreme Court Case: Goldberg v. Kelly (1970) — Welfare (like SNAP or Medicaid) cannot be stopped without:

A fair hearing

A chance to defend yourself
