They were actually giving it a real try. Rain was staying over at Ethan's place for a few days, and not just to sleep around. Snowball was a guest too, they were seeing if this could actually work on some sort of a serious level. And maybe that was the mistake all along. She doesn't think much of it when they get annoyed by some paparazzi, because outside of being annoyed, Ethan doesn't seem to think it's a big deal.
He doesn't even really seem to think it's a huge deal when he's talking to her now, a little while later, about how some people have been looking into her. Yeah, he sounds sad, but the reality of everything hits her like a fucking truck. Of course Ethan doesn't know what any of this means. She's been working on stuff, but they haven't gotten anywhere close to that.
And now someone with a camera and a journalism degree is poking around. Fuck.
"Are you sure?" Her mood has changed instantly. So quickly, even she gets a bit of whiplash from the change in her tone of voice. "There has to like... there has to be a way we can get them to like... not do that, right?"
