So I know you initially asked me to write about Wonwoo meeting OC’s family, but this other idea just kept on nagging me ever since I asked about it and I had to let it out ;-; so yeah I hope this is ok huhu
Wonwoo doesn’t know what to do.
He’s been in fights before, that’s for sure. Unpleasant ones at that. But it was usually with people that he could care less about. This is different.
Before meeting you, Wonwoo made sure to avoid getting too close to anyone because it wasn’t worth it. Then you came waltzing into his life, making him realize that some people are worth the risk.
Everything was going pretty smoothly when you two started going out. Both of you were calm and collected, which meant arguments didn’t happen.
But there’s this one misunderstanding that broke that streak.
You were trying to make your point about something, but Wonwoo wasn’t sure how to respond. So he was unintentionally replying dismissively to you.
One day, you snapped.
“I’m done, alright? Do whatever you want.”
Wonwoo can only stare in shock when you walked out of his apartment. You never raised your voice or lost your cool, but this was an obvious sign that your patience was running thin.
Wonwoo knows that, but he doesn’t know how to approach the situation. Does he run after you? Does he give you space?
His overthinking leads him to not do anything the next few days. You make sure to time your exit from the apartment building when you know he’s out. Because of that he never gets the opportunity to run into you and try to TALK.
Meanwhile, you were at work, grumpily restocking the freshly baked bread on the display area.
Your coworker, Seungkwan nudged you. “That’s the fifth time you sighed in the past three minutes.”
You release a deep exhale and close the bread display. “Just something on my mind.”
(You barely hear Seungkwan mumble “ninth” under his breath.)
It’s not that you didn’t want to talk things out with Wonwoo. If anything, that’s what you’ve been trying to do before this whole silent treatment thing. But you’re not sure about what to tell him either.
Then the door to the bakery opens, and you walk to the cash register as usual.
“Hi, may I take your ord-”, you stop abruptly, not expecting to see the one and only guy you were trying to avoid.
For a few seconds, neither of you say anything. You look away, and Wonwoo whispers so low that you barely register, “Just a chocolate bread.”
You quietly encode the order on the register, very aware of your boyfriend’s eyes boring into your skull. After he pays, you don’t even spare him another look before moving to prepare the bread. But a hand on your wrist stops you.
“Can we talk?”
“Wonwoo, I’m at work.”
“Please?”
You sigh, and finally look him in the eye. Pain and guilt is evident in his face. He was obviously at a loss.
I miss you. His eyes seem to say.
You look at his hand on your wrist, and turn your hand so you could lightly hold his. “My shift ends in a bit. Eat up, then we’ll talk.”
The chocolate bread tastes as good as the first time he got it from you. He vividly remembers seeing the paper bag on his doorknob, with the tupperware, yellow post-it and your handwriting.
His flashback was halted by the sound of a chair being pulled back, and he looks up to see your tired frown.
You kind of expected Wonwoo to say something, but he stayed silent, the guilt still on his face.
The silence was unnerving you. You place your arms on the table and sigh for the nth time. “Let’s walk home?”
His eyes are wide, and he nods as you both stand and walk to the door.
He takes your bag for you, even opens the door as you wave Seungkwan goodbye.
The walk home is slow, but you were able to actually talk about the argument.
Eventually, your fingers are intertwined, and your head is on his shoulder for the rest of the walk.
The argument was stupid anyway. There's no reason to let it go on for longer than it already has.

But pls i can totally see this happen 😭 tho I may note that it must've taken quite a long time for YN to snap. She is supposed to be kind and understanding, which makes the whole fight even more confusing for Wonwoo. And dkejjdje its SO him to let a day pass without doing anything bc he's confused--and I loved that he didn't waste any time after that too.
