Tip 1: Start now if you have not already!! 

This week I will continue my praise of charts. I like charts because they like a map for knitting. The chart shows you were you are going, what comes next and how it all goes together.

Just last week a friend told me she didn’t use charts- I mean charts in Knitting. I LOVE charts But I am a VERY visual person.

So I am going to spend some time discussing Knitting Charts.

Knitting is perfect for a chart. Charts are made up of rows and columns.

Knitting is made up of Rows and stitches.

Rows = Rows Columns = Columns

Not every project you start needs to be finished. 

It is O.k to start something and then put it down and rip it out later, or rip it out immediately. 

Write on your pattern what size and type of needle you are using for the project. 

Start a Binder to keep track of your finished projects.

On the sheet of paper write down;

Pattern name

Needles used

Size made

Date Complete

Any changes you might have made to the design

Additional Notes you might want to remember

Staple Gauge Swatch along with one yarn label to a sheet of paper.
