depends on how extreme the rollercoasters are. and whether they're positive or negative g's. but i like ferris wheels too!

q: knows how to use a sword (in a sparring sense, and it's been a while, but still. and broadsword, not like. olympic foil) sam: has killed at least one person christine: has a mean streak she keeps hidden pretty well jason: knows one (1) card trick and wants to learn more michelle: fantasizes sometimes about becoming an arsonist david: plans on proposing to michelle as soon as he finds a suitable ring muninn: you can tell he's getting upset, not just stressed, when word stop coming out good hurevivikta: she has a few peripheral augments, mostly storage duah: fascinated by birds. would like to be around a real one someday

🥀 — A memory that still hurts

q: the weekend he realized he was basically a replacement to his aunt and uncle in case his cousin "didn't work out." now granted, their intense desire for his cousin to work out means they haven't actually indicated in any way that they're actively planning on it, but still. it was a bad weekend sam: the first kid who died in his presence. it was an accident. he still remembers that kid's startled face christine: her first wedding. it was as close to fairytale as a poor girl could've wanted and the man she was marrying was secretly involved in a meth manufacturing ring jason: the day he put out a trial balloon question that boiled down to 'haha what if i was gay' and his mom's response boiled down to 'haha good thing you're not gay, i want some grandbabies mister 😉.' he doesn't think she'll disown him or anything if he says it outright (and tbh he thinks she probably already knows, just doesn't want to acknowledge it), but… well, at this point he's not sure what will happen if he meets someone for whom he doesn't want to be celibate anymore michelle: the Christmas her separated parents both bought her the same set of copic markers and had a huge fight over which set would get returned. she still won't use that brand at all and rarely uses markers of any kind david: the day in second grade when a teacher sat him down and explained that his extreme dyslexia was going to be a problem for his whole life, it wasn't something he was going to grow out of or that would get better if he tried hard enough muninn: getting released from the hospital after his first injury on the job. no one was waiting for him while he was signing discarge paperwork, no one came to pick him up, no one had picked up prescriptions or gone to his apartment to clean out his fridge or… he left alone, drove home alone, and recovered alone. the only family he would've wanted to hear from was his cousin, and it was anyone's guess if his cousin was close enough to earth to hear his phone hurevivikta: she knows she made mistakes during the job in which she was spiraling leading to the overdose that nearly killed her. it is not the overdose that bothers her so much as her inability to remember exactly what she did wrong, bc there is every possibility she got other people hurt or killed with her carelessness duah: the first time hurevivikta got hurt after duah's governer module was broken. the two main reasons are 1. since it was the first time she chose to act rather than acting under threat, she can't shake the idea that she reacted slower; and 2. she feels bad that the panic immediately afterwards was only partly bc of the injury itself: it was also the panic that if hurevivikta died, duah would be alone, a secunit with a broken governor module, so she'd probably be killed as soon as anyone realized (since secunits are killed by their governor modules if all their clients die/they're separated from their clients)

love in all its many and varied forms. found family. insistent found family. reluctant found family. someone realizing how loving or being loved has changed them as a person. mutual pining. someone diving headfirst into loving someone else. someone getting mad at being loved to the point of sacrifice, getting mad bc they're scared bc they've never been loved like that and don't know what to do about it bc they clearly can't stop it. someone giving up everything for the next generation, for their friends, for teammates, for someone they've never met, for hope that it means something. the Moment someone realizes that they're loved, that they've been loved this whole time and just didn't realize it. etc etc etc
