          she’s  certain  that  this  is  the  most  nervous  she’s  ever  been  in  her  entire  life  .  her  mind  is  racing  as  she  approaches  chad’s  trailer  ,  script  in  hand  for  the  upcoming  episode  of  the  show  .  the  last  thing  she  ever  expected  to  be  doing  was  kissing  chad  on  screen  ,  but  it  was  even  more  nerve  wracking  when  she  had  a  crush  on  him  that  she  was  so  determined  to  keep  to  herself  ,  knowing  that  she  probably  wasn’t  even  on  his  radar  as  anything  more  than  a  costar  and  friend  .  the  last  thing  she  wanted  or  needed  was  to  get  her  heart  broken  ,  especially  not  by  him  ,  or  anyone  that  would  leave  her  swarmed  by  paparazzi  for  the  wrong  reasons  .  taking  a  deep  breath  ,  she  knocks  on  the  trailer  door  ,  smiling  nervously  once  she’s  greeted  by  the  taller  blonde  .  ❛  hey  ,  i’m  sure  you’ve  already  read  this  week’s  script  .  i  um  .  .  .  was  wondering  if  you  wanted  to  practice  ,  or  maybe  just  talk  about  the  scene  ?  ❜  it  was  clear  not  only  by  the  way  she  was  fumbling  with  her  words  ,  but  the  rosy  tint  on  her  cheeks  .  ❛  it’s  my  first  on  screen  kiss  .  ❜  she  admits  ,  her  gaze  diverting  from  his  ,  feeling  oddly  embarrassed  knowing  he’s  probably  had  plenty  and  thinks  she’s  silly  for  reacting  this  way  .  ❛  what  do  you  normally  do  in  this  situation  ?  ❜    

It’s a Thursday evening, with one day until Friday. Lenny is sitting at her kitchen table, across from Chad. Lately, school and work have been stressful for Lenny. Everyday it’s the same thing :: wake up early for work, then go to school in afternoons and evenings, and do homework after. It’s a never ending cycle and she feels like she’s running herself ragged. Since she’s finished the weeks homework, Lenny has decided to invite Chad over for pizza and games. This is just the thing she needs to relax.

There’s a box of half eaten pizza sitting on the table between them. “We’ll be um, f-friends forever --- won’t we, Chad?” Lenny asks. Her head tilts to the side and blue eyes are filled with happiness as she stares at her friend. She enjoys the time she spends with Chad and never wants their friendship to end. Being around him makes her days brighter and the big city doesn’t feel as lonely with him around.

A half eaten piece of pizza is picked up from her plate and she dips it in the cheese on the plate. Then she takes a bite of the pizza. A soft Mmmm, sound is emitted from the blonde. Pizza is definitely a comfort food for her. The piece is placed back onto her plate and she wipes the grease off of her hands with her napkin.

Blue eyes studied pink sneakers as the blonde took in his words. A deep sigh escaped from her lips. “I ---- I’m s-sorry.” She couldn’t bare to look him in the eyes. Lenny should’ve known better than to question his motives. It was just hard for her to understand why he wanted to be friends with her. Chad could be friends with anybody and yet, he’d chosen her to spend time with. They were both so different too. He was much more outgoing than she was and never had trouble speaking his mind. Where she was more quiet and reserved, preferring to keep out of controversy.

“Oh really?” A blonde eyebrow is arched and an elbow is placed on the table. Her hand is placed under her chin, propping her head up as she looked at her friend. Was he telling her the truth? It sure didn’t seem like he and the mentioned girl were just friends. The girl has been hanging around him a lot and they looked very cozy at last night’s high school dance. Quinn assumed they were dating, because of all of the time they were spending together lately. Maybe she was wrong about them after all?

She and Chad were out at a cute, little cafe. It was new in town and opened up a few weeks ago. The day is a sunny and warm Saturday afternoon. The perfect weather for going out and about. Sitting in front of Quinn is the food she ordered previously :: a blue slushy and a half eaten pretzel with cheese.

“That’s not what it looked like at the dance last night. That girl seemed to be all over you.” She straightened up the way she was sitting, removing the hand from under her chin so she could get a drink. A hand reached over and picked up her blue slushy. She put the straw to her lips and took a sip, enjoying the taste. Then she placed it back onto the table.
