Short Bio

Born on the Blackfeet Reservation land known as Blackfeet nation, Kaiden grew up with the narrative that many of those on the res did. He was born to a poor family, lived in a tiny ranch home, and worked with his father as a ranch hand for another tribe member since the day he learned to rope a cow. Perhaps it wasn’t the most glamorous of childhoods, but Kaiden grew up feeling loved and proud of his family and heritage.

With only his father and older brother in the picture, Kaiden learned from a young age how to run and tumble with the best of them. His father took the time after Kaiden’s mother died in a car accident to make sure he had a handle on his own grief so that he could raise his boys to be their best and help them through their own grief that came with losing their mother. Kaiden adored his family, and from that, came his unshakable pride.

That pride ultimately lead to Kaiden moving on from the reservation when he turned 22 to seek justice for the poor and often unescapable conditions that he had witnessed there while growing up, such as the lack of hospitals and grocery stores, the low median incomes, and the lack of law enforcement. They were issues that were born out of being forced into reservation areas and being made to live without assistance or inclusion if they wanted to keep their heritage. That, on top of the treatment of their land by the government, combined and pushed Kaiden into become an Native American activist in every sense of the word. He stood not just for injustices to his tribe, but those that occurred in all tribes in America. He worked to become a voice for what was going on, which was the reason for the camera that was in his hand recording a majority of his time.
