Dim Sum

Today I’m venturing into three parts of Ipoh town for food. Dim Sum at Ming Court Restaurant kind of Hong Kong style Dim Sum (Dumpling) just across the road there is another restaurant called Foh Sun also well patronage Dim Sum. Each of the restaurant has their own plus points. Ming Court has a cheerful welcome party and Foh Sun grand place. Both place food nice. I leave to you tourist to test both. Sometime Muslim brothers also want to have Dim Sum for that there is Halal Dim Sum. I had Lo Mai Gai (Gluttons rice with Meat filling) and Prawn Dim Sum.

Heong Peah

Next from here I took Grab equivalent to Uber service other countries, from there I went to home factory producing Biscuits, traditional fragrant biscuits known as Heong Peah.

I met the owner, Mr Boon. A very hospitable man. He worked for 31 years and this home factory business now 10 years.

Hen in forest 😀 when found, Dancing (Maitake) Today JohnsonMalaysia went walking in the Malaysian forest and found wonderful Grifola Frondosa (Scientific name) or Hen in the forest because it looks like Hen sitting. Is a smart parasite, why ? It knows the amount of nutrients to draw from the host tree yet keeping it alive as long as it can for its survival, However at last the host tree will die. The Hen of the woods grows at the base of root as you see in the photo taken by JohnsonMalaysia.com The Japanese China and Korea know it as dancing mushroom (Maitake). It is believed Grifola Frondosa was hard to find in the forest but when found they dance in joy 💃 ❤️🕺or Maitake. Grifola Frondosa is edible fungi mushroom, cook says it's texture and taste like chiken. The Chinese have well documented in traditional herbal medicine since 2000 years ago for gastrointestinal, athritis, nerve and etc.

DEPRESSION, antidote was a building... really...? World war one #WW1 also known as The big war (in Malay perang Besar) gave birth to movements one of it was the #ARTDECO movement in architecture. Oriental Building have a main interesting facade beside cruise ship that is it looks like 1930s Radio box as it was also where Radio Malaya operated from but today its an abandoned building some say its haunted 😮.. ART Deco architecture movement took about 5 years to establish in Malaya and mellowed down at World War 2

The architect, Arthur Oakley Coltman or among architect communities know as AO Coltman.
