i did originally have her as german (hence the pretzel joke) as a random choice but really all i know is shes of european descent.

her father had a terrible temper and obsession with perfection

he would drink a lot after a "failing", lashing out at his family - he would then become depressive and self isolate, worse so if he lashed out at klowbi

her mother hated her. she could not stand her husbands obsession with her and would hurt her in ways she could hide and make klowbi lie to her father about how it happened, often causing him violent frustration at her clumsiness

he loved her dearly and wanted desperately to preserve her while she was still pure

he was a mortician who dabbled in taxidermy

he would kidnap abandoned/poor children and attempt to perfect his preservation technique

klowbi would sneak into his "office" and watch sometimes out of morbid curiosity but also slight jealousy that these children got to see the "kind side" of him more than she did

klowbi isnt her real name. its the name of her doll. the doll was a gift from her father when she was little.

shes scared of her reflection. when she looks she only sees grotesque distortions of herself

she killed her parents one night with a pair of scissors when she couldnt take it anymore. her mother she violently stabbed over and over, almost soupifying her face. her father found her, and despite what he saw he cared only if she was okay. she told him she was hurting her. he consoled her and hugged her close, and she slit his throat while she cried. she didnt want to but didnt want anyone else taking him away from her.

she fled the house with a backpack of supplies and lives in the streets by the name klowbi, clutching her scissors always close, her beloved doll kept safe with her fathers blood smeared on its face.
