the day lance realizes he’s in love with keith, it’s an ordinary day. they’re hanging out, and keith is laughing at a corny joke he just made, and god, he’s beautiful,  his laughter sounding like music to lance’s ears. all he ever wants to do is make keith smile and laugh, wants him to be happy, safe, and loved, wants to hold his hand and he can’t imagine anybody else standing by his side and oh- i’m in love with him, lance thinks, waiting for the shock and denial to hit him, but for some reason, he’s not surprised by this revelation. it’s more like, their was a slight shift in his perspective, and everything became clearer because of it.

the day keith realizes he’s in love with lance is an ordinary day. they’ve just gotten back from a successful mission, and everybody is heading towards the living room to relax before dinner. while the team starts walking and chatting ahead, all keith can think about is every little mistake he made during their mission, and how that shiro is definitely a better fit as their leader because he actually knows how to communicate with the team and keith’s just too impulsive and-

lance: hunk, keith is so cool??? like, he’s such an awesome pilot and gets good grades and has a cute smile and even though he has a mullet he can really pull it off and it looks so soft and i just really look up to him and want his attention ya know??? wow, why do you think i feel like this buddy???
