Meet #Merdeka118, also known as #MerdekaPNB118, #WarisanMerdekaTower, #118Tower and #KL118. Completed in mid 2022, it is a 118-storey, 678.9-metre-tall megatall #skyscraper in #KualaLumpur, #Malaysia. It is the world's second-tallest structure, surpassing the #TokyoSkytree at 634 m (2,080 ft) and the world's second tallest building, surpassing the #ShanghaiTower at 632 m (2,073 ft). Recently, Malayan Banking Bhd (#Maybank) has announced that it will be moving its headquarters to Menara Merdeka 118, the world's second tallest building owned by the bank’s largest shareholder Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB). Maybank has entered into a 21-year tenancy agreement with PNB, consisting of an initial term of three years and renewal for a further six three-year terms. The country’s largest bank by asset size will occupy 33 floors in Menara Merdeka 118, and has been offered naming and signage rights over the building, confirming a report by The Edge Malaysia weekly on Aug 15.
