Kenma shuffled a bit in his seat, glancing away each time that Keiji would catch him staring. His curiosity always got the best of him, unlike Shoyo the taller setter almost always caught him. He nodded at Kuroo when he thanked him, Kenma was well known as someone who didn't particularly like sharing. He wanted to be better with that with Kuroo, whether it was food or words. He didn't get involved with their banter, watching the captain next to him. He hadn't realized his bottom lip was poking out until Kuroo leaned close and pointed it out. His lips parted slightly as he took a deep breath, holding Kuroo's eye contact as his cheeks heated up. His words and the way he looked at him caught him off guard and he was very aware of everyone around them, even if they were hiding behind a menu together. He was able to push this feeling away with Kuroo so close, a smile taking away his pout.
"You're ridiculous.." he informed the other in his soft tone, leaning back to the wall when the make shift hiding place was set down. He ordered his food, raising his eyebrows at Bokuto. He really could put it away. He sat up a little straighter when Akaashi spoke of the next year, looking at him before blinking away. He was avoiding this topic so well, why did he have to bring it up? He couldn't blame him, not everyone knew how dependant he was on his best friend. He picked up his chop sticks, tapping them together as he thought.
"I'm not the one in line to be Captain, so we won't be doing that much planning together with Volleyball.. if I play next year." He responded quietly. He listened to Kuroo speak about it, his eyes locked on his eating utensils. He wanted a topic change badly.
"Well, if you say so. If you gotta talk about it, I'm here." The energetic teenager exclaimed, noting how Akaashi's face looked discolored. He really hoped that he wasn't lying so he wouldn't worry. He perked up once more when he heard the way Keiji said his name. He usually got the respectful "-san" from him, he couldn't explain the excited jolt he got from such affection. He grinned at him once more, Keiji could hold his focus to the point where he'd forget they were with people.
"Aw, well, if you change your mind. Or you could have some of mine too! I'm okay with that." He assured him, finally looking back to the other two. He tilted his head at the menu hiding his friends, looking back to Akaashi to see what he thought of it. Ordering his food was the next distraction, he waved off Keiji's worry.
"I'm gonna share some with you! You always get the same thing." He pointed out. He huffed when Kuroo said they wouldn't room together, this had been the plan since they'd both figured out that they both had eyes for the same school. "HEY hey hey! I told you I'd be more tidy, why do you have to be like that? We could have so much fun!" He pointed at him, only calming back down when Kuroo said he was joking. He leaned closer to hear what Kenma was saying, almost falling over.
"No more volleyball? But you're so good! What about your stragedies!" He sat back down, totally bewildered that Kenma wouldn't want to continue on Nekoma's team. Did he really only play for Kuroo? He shifted and moved to dig through his backpack. He'd been waiting all day to share this, everyone who knew him knew how often this university was brought up in the last two years.
"Since we're on the topic.." he grinned, setting the acceptance letter on the table. He leaned back to watch them all with a proud look on his face.
