↬ 10 // How do you feel about writing plot, setting/description, inner thoughts, dialogue?

When I first started this account I was kind of in a weird spot writing wise. I didn't have the skillset to constantly crank out the long plot-filled fics that I wanted to write, so I found myself writing a lot of drabbles and ficlets to get that writing practice time in. But now... I can write longer fics faster, so writing plot and fully fleshing out my ideas is so much fun now, but it used to feel a little frustrating (since I couldn't put my ideas into words easily). I love watching my characters come to life on the page, it's my favorite thing.

↬ 16 // Do you have a method for getting characters to sound/feel in character?

I let the fic play out in my head like a movie. I also ask myself the question, "why?" a lot while imagining it and writing it. Okay, he's mad... why? Okay, we need to accomplish xyz by the end of this chapter... what would this character do to get us there, and why is it happening? I also sometimes do a character sheet type of section in my outlines (cause ya girl outlines now woohoo!) so i have a solid reference on who the character is supposed to be, so if i'm ever lost on their motivations for something i can go back and read their backstory/personality description to see what they would do. I used to (and still do sometimes) have a habit of reflecting my own voice onto the character but I'm getting better about making everyone their own real person within their story.

↬ 17 // Do you have any wips that you can tell us about? What are you most excited for in you wip?

OOO okay so i'm writing a maki x reader fic atm for @bokuroskitten's fic collab (i swear its coming angel i've just been too tired to do this tengjuro fic AND the maki one at the same time sjsjsks). it's kind of a coming of age—but in college—sort of fic. maki is reader's irl gay awakening basically. im excited for that! it's the first fic im writing thats set in the canon jjk universe. im also working on a fic for my anything but sex collab that'll be yuuji x reader trying out tantric sex for the first time, and i have some other collab fics coming up. other than that im mostly just finishing up follow up chapters for ongoing fics. i have two big fic projects im excited to start for ao3 (one will be gojohime + sperm donor fluffsmutangst & the other is gojohime + porn stars who're exes) but i have no idea when i'll start those. i also want to finish my "gossip girl" inspired fic and a cheating au fic where nanami gets left at the alter and stumbles into reader's bar afterward. so yeah lmao those are the main fics im like focused on focused on that are in my wip bank.

oh man... so much medical shit, kink safety stuff, d*ug related stuff, sex work-related stuff, grief-related stuff, etc., etc. I throw a lot of my own experiences—or experiences/personalities that I was adjacent to—into my work.

↬ 01 // my favorite character to write for lately is probably either sukuna or megumi but i might only find them easy to write because i don't write canon-based jujutsu kaisen content 😭 + i love love love writing the kyoto girls as well cause no one ever really writes them and their dynamic is so fun. for haikyuu, i love writing bokuto & asahi. they're easier for me to write than any of the jjk characters + they're fun to play with in au settings.

↬ 03 // ooooo honestly? probably this bokuto fic. none of my haikyuu fics do well on ao3 so im used to that but i didn't expect this one to flop on tumblr too (i say that very lightly though lol it didn't do horribly). there's not any heavy smut in it but... i think she's kinda funny :') also this connie from aot fic. it did really good on ao3 but not on here. oh well lol. my fav fic that i wish ppl read more is probably this sukuna fic (its my most popular one but idk i just love it alot i think ppl should give it a shot if you're into abo or want to get into abo).

↬ 18 // i spent 30 minutes researching japanese mountains last night for a fic only to end up making up a name lmao. i research alot of random shit for fics tbh. i think the most in-depth research i've done lately though is probably for my Killer Kings fic on ao3. i ended up on a whole archived d*ug user experience forum researching stuff for that lmao so my google account thinks im an addict now. i get a little warning banner anytime i search anything medication-related and i do not get that warning on my other google account so that's fun i love that for me lol

↬ 20 // writing has always been a form of escapism for me. i've been through ~a lot~ and getting to escape from my life and my body through stories has always helped me out a bunch. recently, seeing how much my writing has improved with practice has inspired me a lot to try harder at other things in my life and to apply myself more. writing fanfic has also been a huge learning curve on finding my personal style and learning how to write faster so hopefully, one day, novel writing will be a thing i can do.

i don't think i've mentioned it on here but i do have a disability (chronic illness) that lead to so many hospitalizations and surgeries and shit i can't even count anymore. i found out at 12 but didn't get really sick until i was 17. but when i did, it was actually pretty manageable until i had been on treatments for about two years (i still got a make-a-wish trip though so shoutout chronic illness for that). when things did get bad though, i was a miserable mess and felt trapped in a broken body. i used to pray that i could just be reborn again and start off fresh in someone else's skin. but obviously that aint happening lmao. when i got an organ transplant and woke up from surgery, and the brain fog was gone, and i felt like my body was clean on the inside for the first time in a long time... that's when i felt really free. like the only possible way things could go was up.

angel; are you religious or spiritual?

religious? not in the slightest, no lol. spiritual? maybe a little bit. i believe there's something bigger than us & there's a lot more to death and the "essence of the spirit" and all that, but constraining it a God(s) and saying that we're supposed to follow a book because he allegedly says so doesn't really vibe with me. i'm an agnostic atheist (meaning, im not saying god doesn't exist, im just very doubtful that any religion is correct & i don't really want to live my life following any faith i don't really agree with or believe in). religion is honestly one of my fav things to discuss opinions & debate about tbh. its always interesting hearing why people think their faith is right, if they have one.
