I can't believe you're doubting your writing ability. I love your fics. My favourite at the moment is Caesure - I've been hanging out for an update. As a thought - your fics are beautifully written, but are quite high on the angsty scale - how do you feel about going for a more hopeful or happy ever after ending? I know a lot of OUAT fans only wish the best for Killian and Emma, it might get more people to appreciate your wonderful stories if you risk a happy ending...
Hi there! You’re very sweet, thank you so much <3
And well, I like to think that despite the angst, there’s always a little hope in my stories?
Also, I mean, personally, I’m a sucker for a happy ending and no matter what, that’s one thing that I always guarantee.
That there will be a happy ending to every story I do. A happy ending or a bittersweet one. I don’t believe in pulling someone along for a ride and then ending it horribly. I don’t see the point in that but on the other hand, I like the feeling of a satisfying ending after angst?
Like the angst makes the happiness better for me if that makes sense? The payoff of a story is important for me and happy endings are important for me but I love conflict and tension.
Like, this is the stuff I like to read so this is the stuff I tend to write as well.
I mean I wouldn’t say that all the things I write make people feel hopeless? Because that would be bad idk.
I’m questioning everything about writing these days haha!
People seem to have stopped reading me when they used to before and I just wish I knew what changed their minds because I don’t feel like I’ve changed the way I tell stories too much?
But, thank you so much for the message and I’m working on a Caesura update soon! <3
