They've had so many asks about Blackleg in their inbox lately. Some of them go unanswered, but I can tell that each one weighs on their hearts like an anvil. I caught Princess Reiju staring at her snail, at Sanji's blog, just earlier today as he got cursed to have pink hair like her.

His response? Immediate rejection. "I'm the only one with my mother's hair color," or something to that effect. She didn't say anything, but I could tell that she was hurting for him. She just... put down the snail and walked away from it.

Niji's been pacing more often. Back and forth along the ship, through the halls, past soldiers. He doesn't have another way to let that energy out besides fight, but none of the soldiers can keep up with them, even now.

Ichiji is quieter than usual, and that's saying something. He's barely been signing, as well. He just... stands by the railing, looking at the sea. I wonder what it is he sees, or wants to see on the horizon.

I think I know.

Yonji had nightmares. Bad ones. He's been sleeping even more poorly lately, and I've started recommending him some mild sedatives before bed. Those help. But last night, I'm afraid they didn't... help enough.

The surgeries went well. The modifications have had fewer side effects than anticipated, though with Ichiji, he's started developing headaches at times. We're still figuring that out. Hopefully I'll have more concrete solutions for some of their recurring issues by the next time they're scheduled for a check.
