One of the masterpieces of Noh play, “Sumidagawa”, was created by Motomasa, the eldest son of Zeami, who is said to be the Father of Noh play. The experiential and appreciation program which focuses on its dramatic maturity will be held on February 23, 2019, at Kita Noh Theatre, Meguro, Tokyo. An English commentary will be conducted by Robert Campbell, and noh-style voice training will be offered before the performance. It will be a good chance for foreign audiences to feel and understand the true significance of Japanese culture.
