One of the prettiest tornadic supercells this summer! Taken in eastern North Dakota on July 11, 2017, this storm had an EF2 tornado on the ground for 20 miles! One thing for sure, it was very photogenic.

Kinny served on board the USS Talbot DD114/APD-7 during World War II and wrote a short book about the ship and her exploits. It's a niche subject, but I wanted to honor his memory, and that of the ship and so many veterans, by making it available to anyone it would mean something to, so I'm self-publishing it. The tumblr also contains supplementary material about the ship, the war, the man, and the seven-decade journey of the book itself, from a typewriter on a warship to my laptop, and, finally, to print.
