Upon rereading Kintama arc, I’m just reminded of how absolutely cruel and fascinating Kintoki was as a villain. Him purposely returning Shinpachi and Kagura’s memories knowing that Otae will find the two and bring them back to Gintoki, and initially setting that, setting the four of them together as the trigger that will destroy the world is just so damn sadistic and ruthless. It’s so awesome. There’s no pity, there’s no hint of consideration, just pure evil. And Man. I love that for Kintoki.
