As an end of the academic year trip, some friends and I stayed in Toronto for a weekend! Our first stop was Kinoya Sushi and Bar!

Finally managed to snag a mid-afternoon lunch table at the month-old @kinoyadubai an izakaya restaurant at the Onyx Tower in The Greens. • The menu is short and sweet with the typical dishes: fried (tempura, katsu sando, karaage), kushi (tsukune, negima etc), some nigiri and sashimi, gyoza and ramen plus a few other small dishes. • We didn’t order the ramen this time but we did share several dishes which was most of the menu: chicken gyoza, shrimp tempura, fried rice, wagyu meatball and chicken thigh skewers, katsu sando, some tuna sashimi, negitoro maki and hamachi nigiri plus a miso soup. We also had the egg flan and a hojicha ice cream for dessert. There were three of us and the total bill was 670 AED before tip with just sparkling and still water. • Food was served quickly, service was attentive (considering the place was still fairly full for 3 pm on a Friday) and the food was good, simple, unfussy and not overpriced which is what makes #Kinoya interesting as a little neighborhood restaurant. Domestic Kinoshita/Noya hcs
-They do a lot of movie/tv nights together and when they first started dating, Noya tried to pick artsy indie films to impress Kinoshita or scary movies so they could cuddle, but then one day, Kinoshita finally told him that he didn't care for either types of films and Noya is so relieved because tbh he didn't understand any of those artsy films and he was too afraid of the scary movies to do anything cool to 'protect' Kinoshita. They watch over the top action movies for Noya from now on.
-Noya noticed that Kinoshita has a VHS and thinks he's into vintage stuff, but really, Kinoshita's family just never bothered getting rid of it and neither did he.
-Noya normally keeps his hair down when they're at home alone anyways, but when Kinoshita mentions that he likes it more than when his hair is up, Noya gets very tempted to change his hairstyle. In the end, Kinoshita encourages Noya to carry on doing what he prefers best.
-Kinoshita makes Noya a birthday 'cake' out of entirely popsicles. Noya cries when he sees it.
-Because of the bleached/dyed part of his hair, even though he can do it alone, Noya likes the fact that Kinoshita always offers to help him when he washes his hair.
-Noya likes to bury himself in warm laundry and fall asleep. Kinoshita has to just fold the clothes around him.
-Despite not being great at contemporary literature, Noya's half decent when it comes to poetry. He wrote things for Kinoshita, but was worried about how he would react, so he ended up keeping them hidden. He only told Kinoshita about them after they get married and now, Kinoshita has them framed and on display.
-Because Noya hates onions, they are jokingly banned from the household. Kinoshita made him a sign for Christmas and it now hangs in their kitchen.
-Even after they stop playing volleyball, Noya adds 'rolling' or 'thunder' to everything that he does and Kinoshita thinks it's hilarious.
-Noya likes pineapple on pizza. Kinoshita is appalled, but loves him anyway. He does eventually grow to tolerate pinapple on pizza because of Noya though.
