Hand tools are any type of tool used by hand that does not require any electrical power or motor to operate. These types of tools are ordinary but essential part of accomplishing our everyday activities.Different types of hand tools are available. Some common hand tools are:

Knives

Here we mean industrial grade knife, not kitchen knives. Knife is one of the basic hand tools found in every home or mechanics toolbox. Knives are made of hard metal and used for various purposes such as for cutting or opening boxes. Make sure that the knife that you keep in your toolbox features a locking mechanism.

Screwdrivers

Hammer

Scissors

It’s a multi-purpose tool found in almost every household. Scissors are useful in every situation from kitchen to a DIY job as you require.

Wrench

It’s one of the workshop hand tools. Wrench is used for gripping and turning the object. It is helpful to bike repair and furniture assembling. Different type wrenches are available in the market. Some of these are socket wrench, open-end wrench, ratchet wrench and much more.

Clamps

It’s basically a fastening tool used to secure any object tightly and to prevent separation or movement during the working process. In general, clamps are helpful in repair jobs, any DIY projects, or to assemble furniture. Clams can be used permanently or temporarily based on your job requirement. Tape Measure

The tape measure is an essential home kit. It is useful to measure room, wall, furniture, or any objects. For DIY use a 15 to 20 feet tape measure is perfect.

The Level

The woodworkers require a couple of levels. One 4 feet level is necessary for woodworking project work. 8 Feet level, also known as torpedo level, is also useful. Plumb is vertical while level is horizontal.
