Treasure Hunt 12/09- How's your joy-meter?
Shalom! Haa.. God knows our desires. I just moved in to the church Discipleship Home yesterday. I thank God as He made a way for me. Yesterday night, only me, Jocelyn and Ps Lois joined the Treasure Hunt (an evangelism outreach activity in our church). Ps Lois first asked us, do you bring your joy-meter? Haa.. Yeah, when we are doing the Kingdom works, it is so much fun, it is a celebration.
After receiving "clues" (word of knowledge from God), we went to KL Festival Mall to start our TREASURE HUNT. Well, we did not really find those people in our clue list. But, we did spread God's love. First, we approached an employee of Big Apple Donut. I got a word of knowledge she had discomfort in her eyes. So I asked her, she was kind of stunt and asked me why did I ask so. I explained what we were doing and I offer her The Greatest Healer. I asked if I could pray for her, God wanted to heal you. She was a little bit shy, yet, she agreed. Haa.. I prayed and cast out the discomfort in the name of Jesus. She was happy after the prayer. Oh, by the way, there was no customer is the shop until we came. Haa.. See, Glory of God attracts people.
The second "treasure" was a 15-year-old boy. Ps Lois asked if he wanted his body to be slimmed down. He said yes. So we offered a prayer. His mum also agreed. After the prayer, I could see they felt peace in their hearts. And I blessed him with wisdom from the God in his preparation for his upcoming PMR examination.
The last guy was a salesman in a phone shop. We took some time to approach the guy at first, yet eventually we just went boldly. He's a Christian too. we prayed for a brighter future for him and asked God to show new directions in his life. The most interesting part for me is that, I told him, our Father in Heaven misses you and wants to visit you. He answered me, Yeah, I could feel so. I saw you all are kind of weird. Then Ps Lois said to him, we also think you are weird, man! Haa.. Weird as in a good sense. Hee..
It was a great experience for me. I always expect something in whatever I do. You know, many people say do not expect too much or you will be disappointed if things do not turn out well as what we expected. Haa.. For me, I do things with expectation in God. He never fails. We need to acknowledge Him and invite Him to take part in whatever we do. Haa.. I believe He will make it fruitful.
