Billie lifted her sunglasses as she entered the salon, doing something she rarely did which was treat herself to a manicure. Mostly because she sucked at maintaining her nails and also partially because her nails were always short but she decided having them painted would be a nice treat for herself, especially having it done professionally since she was hopeless at it. Approaching the counter, she sent the woman a smile. “I have an appointment for a manicure? Should be under Billie?”

Hannah stood outside of Brandon’s apartment, knocking on the door before pulling her phone out, sending him a text saying it was her at his door so he would answer it. She was giddy, honestly, as her first day at the new job went so well. She was excited that she enjoyed working at the daycare, having been scared she would hate it, but it felt like reassurance that she was in the right major in school.

About an hour or so after Delilah left Brandon’s place, she ended up on Malik’s doorstep. Taking her brother’s advise, she had gotten a small gift box to put the pregnancy test in, having it shoved into her purse as she knocked on the door. She knew he was home since she was already planning on coming over and sent him a quick text letting him know she was at the door. She was definitely still nervous (and a little nauseous but she didn’t know if that was from being nervous or if that was from being pregnant), but talking to Brandon had definitely eased her nerves a bit.

It had been a few weeks since Delilah had run into Malik at the bar and they basically rekindled their relationship. Slowly but surely they were rebuilding it but keeping it quiet, not telling their families just yet until they figured everything out. Everything seemed to include even more now since Delilah missed her period a few days earlier (which never happened, her body was like clockwork) and she finally got up the nerve to take a pregnancy test, almost passing out on the spot when it came out positive.

Billie sat at the bar, having already had a few shots herself and was sipping on a drink now, knowing slowing down on the alcohol was probably for the best since she invited Benny out. She didn’t want to be too plastered when he got there, thinking mildly tipsy was enough. Seeing him enter, she gave him a smile that didn’t quite meet her eyes and gave him a hug, very much caused by the alcohol as Billie was not a huggy person. “Hey!” she greeted, bringing him over to the spot she secured, “I feel like we needed a night out. Also, going to the bar alone again wasn’t something I was willing to allow myself to do.”
