Because I feel like there are many options

First I thought is this because he's afraid that Ram doesn't like him as well? But then we got those damn heavenly kisses and the text from Ram clarifying that he was aware of what happened so it disputes that thought

Then it gets me onto thinking about two other options. One I feel like is a shot in the dark because I have a feeling it's not that deep and the other a generic one.

So I was thinking the classic of internalized homophobia. This is guess could still be true because he panics and tries desperately to push it to the side... but something seems a bit off about it because he wasn't shocked really when he woke up in Ram's arms this is still a valid option in my eyes

Then the last thought I had which I believe is probs too deep is that he doesn't allow himself to be loved or have good things or something. I mean... King despite being amongst friends has ways been very independent and secluded, not that this is a bad thing. And honestly, just his words of "it's torture" is something that is rather profound and I guess could apply to all of the above, but as soon as I heard that I immediately started thinking that there is some notion in him that decided he isn't worthy of love.
