Kindred Wings: Basics
Everyone is born with white wings that are incapable of flight.
When you turn 10, one wings turns a solid color that represents themselves, the other then becomes their soulmates color (as long as their soulmate is alive and also 10, if not the wing remains white until your soulmate is that age)
Once you meet your soulmate, you get your wing back and both of your wings transition to your own colors that are now tinted with your soulmates color as well.
Your soulmate can reject you and then both partners wings forever turn gray.
If your soulmate accepts you, your wings become capable of flight
Everyones wings are unique and different.
Its uncommon, but some people are born without wings and are looked upon with pity.
Devils fruit powers apply to wings as well, the only exception is for Zoan users. The wings dont typically manifest in animal form. If someone trains enough though, sometimes they can
Fishmen and merpeople have wings as well that have adapted to both land and sea.
