like he proves in bigtop burger that his character voice and his normal voice sound exactly the same but i imagine it was actually. very different before he met cesare. because unfortunately i do not imagine that allen could keep up a voice like that his whole life.

no i imagine his normal voice was something more along the lines of sungwon cho's normal speaking voice, which is surprisingly monotonous and with a deep vibrato. i highly recommend watching one of his skits or regular videos to get a feel for it, and im not just saying that because ive been a fan of his long before bigtop burger

it fits allen out-of-character in my opinion. and sometimes, when he's alone or talking to people in more professional settings, he returns to his actual voice. any other time, he's in his character voice. like hes practicing using it for long periods of time. drama kid 9000 over here

its funny to imagine him talking to frances and conrad in his character voice when he suddenly gets a call from like his dentist or something confirming his appointment, and he immediately switches to "yes, this is allen kim. yes, 4 pm tomorrow. alright. thank you." and conrad stares at him like he grew a third head and frances coughs into her drink because she forgot he can talk like that
